Fine Print uses a comprehensive asset management and workflow solution to store, control and manage large volumes of digital data. Fine Print searched for a tool to handle the files more efficiently and compress and optimize them without loss of quality.

Application requirements

Fine Print uses a comprehensive asset management and workflow solution to store, control and manage large volumes of digital data. As the company grew and technology evolved, increasingly greater volumes of digital data needed to be processed and stored. Both the time required to process large PDF files and the difficulties in managing them (storage space, file transmissions) led Fine Print to search for a tool to handle the files more efficiently and optimize them without loss of quality.

Customer benefits

File processing and file transmission without a loss in quality have been substantially improved through integration of the PDF Tools products in the document management workflow.

Implementation

Extensive use of PDF Tool’s Command Line Suite under the Papermule DAM solution enables Fine Print to quickly replace and update PDF pages in large repro quality PDF documents. The 3-Heights® PDF Optimizer is then used to generate proof resolution documents for clients to preview at a fraction of the original file size.
