Newsletter September 2012

Five years ago, we released the first version of the 3‑Heights™ Document Converter. From the beginning we wanted to create new ways to offer the best enterprise-wide conversion solution. The performance and quality of the concept has been proven in robust and continuous operation at many customer sites.
In the meantime, a lot has happened. The product is continuously evolving and getting new features.

  • PDF/A‑2 conformity
  • Mixed Raster Content (MRC) compression for scanned documents
  • Integration of the favorite OCR engine ABBYY 10, Tesseract 3, OmniPage 18
  • Support for the latest office versions and operating system platforms

Customers with a maintenance contract in place benefit since the last five years and will continue to benefit from free feature upgrades.

Success story KINETIC AG, Lenzburg, Switzerland

KINETIC AG Integrates 3‑Heights™ tools to digitize extensive paper archive for swiss insurance company

Due to a move of location, the insurance company decided to convert all of their paper dossiers into digital format. Space constraints as well as the growing length of time it took to retrieve files for an assessment were key issues in this decision. Factors like time, security and completeness of insurance dossiers place a high demand on the process – both from an organizational as well as a technical point of view.
