The 3-Heights™ PDF to Image Converter is a component for converting PDF documents into single page or multi-page raster images such as TIFF or JPEG. Alternatively, it can rasterize PDF documents and save them back as PDFs.

Its areas of use include the web, TIFF-based DMS solutions, archive and workflow systems and the protection of PDF documents. The Converter is characterized by its high speed, scalability and high visual fidelity.

- Create single and multi-page images
- Supports all popular raster image formats (TIFF, JPEG, JBIG2, JPEG2000, PNG, GIF, BMP, etc.)
- Create rasterized PDF documents, whereby the text can be rasterized or copied
- Convert individual pages
- Read and write encrypted PDF documents
- Set orientation to portrait or landscape format
- Set image filtering (bi-linear, bi-cubic, super-sampling) to reduce aliasing artifacts and moiré effects

- Select color space (grayscale, RGB, CMYK, indexed)
- Set resolution
- Number of bits per pixel
- Choice of lossy or lossless JPEG2000 and JBIG2 compression
- Optimize the image quality or file size of lossy compression types
- Set the image size in dpi and pixel
- Selection of half-tone methods (none, Floyd Steinberg, half-tone matrix, etc.)
- Optional functions to increase the line thickness of very fine text
