3-Heights™ PDF Viewer – A Compact and Comprehensive Viewing Component
Success Story: Flexible printing control of PDF documents from the Dealer Management System using the 3-Heights™ PDF Printer
New customers who rely on PDF Tools’ products
Why should you need a high-quality viewing component, considering there are free PDF viewers? There are essential differences between the two that give many reasons!
Many scenarios require a viewing component integrated in the application and have full operational control over its functions. The Viewer is embedded as an OCX control in a user interface or an HTML site. A typical use case is the display of approach charts in the cockpit.
The PDF Viewer offers even more: It displays all relevant image formats, such as TIFF or JPEG in the same way as it displays PDF documents. It is designed for “secure viewing” in security sensitive applications. For digital signature applications the Viewer often is the only viable option.
Most appreciated is the fact that the Viewer is compact and easy to use. It does not require an installation and can therefore be started instantly. This makes it particularly attractive for applications on CD-ROMs and USB sticks.
In order to enhance their proprietary software package called CDP, Vector needed a solution which could easily and efficiently print PDF documents based on specified settings. The software should be easy to integrate in the existing Java code, guarantee compatibility with all standard printer drivers, and offer a high level of flexibility during the printing process, i.e. with the print job parameters.
